NDPA's 2011 National Drowning Prevention Symposium

The National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) invites all AI Connect members to attend its 10th Annual National Drowning Prevention Symposium, hosted by USA Swimming Foundation. The event will take place at the Antlers Hilton in Colorado Springs, CO April 14-16, 2011.

Call for Presentation submissions are now being accepted. Deadline is December 17 and the application is posted on the NDPA website at www.NDPA.org.

The theme for the 2011 Symposium is "Uniting at the Peak to Save Lives: moving into the next decade of drowning prevention." Keynote presentations are scheduled to be given by Chair Inez Tenenbaum with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission; and Rowdy Gaines, three-time Olympic gold medalist and member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

This exciting event will commemorate the accomplishments of the last decade while looking ahead to create goals, objectives and identify new challenges that might be encountered in advancing drowning prevention and aquatic safety efforts.

Many opportunities are offered for sponsorship and exhibits at the Symposium. See the NDPA's website for details or contact Kristin Goffman, Executive Director for the NDPA at (951) 659-8600 or via email at Admin@NDPA.org.

The NDPA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to being a catalyst in drowning prevention. As an "alliance" organization, the strength of the NDPA lies in the diversity of its members. Consider becoming a member of the NDPA today. Visit www.NDPA.org to join as a member.
