Pools should never be listed as non-essential

I recently read that pools are on the chopping block because they are non-esstenial compared to the other services cities need to offer the community. USA Swimming feels this mind set needs to change.  Do you know of pools that might close because of budget cuts?  If so let them know USA Swimming has success stories to share.  Want to know more?
