Mother and child with cerebral palsy kicked out of pool for wearing water wings.

Comment by Jeffrey M Jarvis on December 3, 2012 at 9:52pm: The mother was informed that water wings were not designed as a floatations device but were a pool toy for children that already know how to swim. Her response to this was that the water wings were speedo. The county was given web. Saources that backed up the statement about water wings not being a safe floatation device and were also given websites that specificly design and create life jackets for individuals with disabilities. Wether these sources were directly given to the mother after the incident is unclear. But the mother and child returned to the pool some time after with a doctors note stating that the boy needs to use the water wings. The facility allowed this but kept an extra guard on survalence as an extra set of eyes.
