What if everyone in the world who couldn't swim listened to internet World Talk Radio on October 28, 2010 and heard that they're not weird for not being able to swim? That they aren't failures? That it's not their fault that they've tried lessons over and over and haven't become swimmers? Do you think those people might feel a little better about not being able to swim?
Do you think if I presented them with an outline of what happened to swimming instruction in the beginning and if they could hear the story for the first time, they would understand what happened to them in lessons, due to nothing but a lack of awareness on the part of trainers? Do you think they might let themselves off the hook and stop feeling embarrassed or ashamed that they can't swim? If I told them that anyone but anyone can learn to swim if they're given the right instructions and they stay true to themselves all the time and just have fun, do you think it might give them hope?
That's what's going to happen. So if you know anyone who can't swim or anyone who knows anyone who can't swim, and they're adults or teens, I hope you'll send out a call. Tell them you'll be letting them know as soon as you know where to go online on October 28 at 1 p.m. Florida time: 10 a.m. California time. What time will that be, your time? Thursdays.
